Getting Started

You can set up your Arriva Monthly Direct Debit Instruction on-line by providing the following information and selecting "Continue" at the bottom of this page.

  • If this is a Personal or Business account where you are solely authorised to complete this application, please continue.

 

You will need these details of your Bank or Building Society name, account number and sort code.
 
The Details of your Direct Debit Instruction will be sent to you within 5 working days or no later than 10 working days before your first collection.
 
You can choose either to pay by direct debit on either the 1st or the 15th of the month. Please note that the nearest direct debit date will be the default option available to choose.
 

Registration must be completed at least 10 days prior to either date.

You are paying for a rolling monthly ticket that will continue to rollover every month until you decide to cancel your monthly Direct Debit.

No tickets will be processed until we receive confirmation your payment has been collected.

 

For Paper Tickets:

  • Once we receive confirmation that your first collected payment is cleared, the process to print and dispatch your ticket takes approximately10 days.
  • If you choose to have your direct debit payments taken on the 1st of the month, your ticket will be valid for use from the 12th of the month.
  • If you choose to have your direct debit payments taken on the 15th of the month, your ticket will be valid for use from the 27th of the month.
  • Thereafter a new ticket will be sent to you every month, a few days before your current one expires.
  • When boarding the bus, please ensure to show the driver your current valid monthly ticket.  

 

For Mobile Tickets via the Arriva App:

  • Selecting a mobile ticket will require you to enter the ticket holder's mobile phone number as mandatory.
  • To receive the m-ticket, the ticket holder must have downloaded and installed the Arriva UK Bus App on their mobile phone.
  • Once installed, the ticket holder must then create an app account for themselves by registering their details, including their email address and mobile phone number
  • Only after we have received confirmation that your first collected payment is cleared, an annual m-ticket will be sent to the ticket holder’s app account.
  • Depending on the date of your first payment, you should receive your m-ticket no later than the 11th or 26th of the month.
  • You will find this in the ‘my tickets’ tab on the app and must activate the ticket before you use it for the first time.
  • Once activated, a QR code containing the ticket will appear in the ‘my tickets’ tab on the app.
  • When boarding the bus, please ensure the QR code is ready to be tapped on the ticket machine located by the driver.
